![]() My physics IA was about cantilevers (projecting beams) and the experiment which I conducted for my physics IA was definitely on the simpler side. The majority of physics students I know, myself included, used this document as a source of inspiration for their own IA, and I would therefore highly recommend you skim through it to look for topics that interest you. Among the most helpful resources which I found to choose a physics IA is the following document, which lists 300 ideas for physics experiments. ![]() As such, I found it difficult to choose a practical experiment that rested somewhere on this line a physics experiment that was simple to conduct, but involved some element of complexity in order to give my IA some more depth. In physics, practical experiments tend to either be very simple or very complex, and I feel as though a very fine line separates these two. I found that, out of all three sciences (biology, chemistry, and physics), it was most difficult to choose a good topic in physics.
